JCFilms Studios is focusing on a series of feature films aimed at telling these stories to help abused women find their inner warrior and become strong, confident women.

 

One such story is based on an Amazon best-selling book, HEELS TO HOLSTER and tells the true story of Shirley Watral.  Shirley was a successful IT manager with a new relationship which seemed to be everything she hoped for until signs began to point negative.

 

As she tried to ease her way out, his grasp became stronger, a warning sign she did not recognize at the time, but which would devolve into being held hostage and worse. Her life plunged into the terror of domestic abuse.

 

HEELS TO HOLSTER is Shirley’s story on how she found the courage to let others help her get away and to finally realize that waiting for someone to come to her rescue was the wrong approach and how she became her own superhero.

HEELS TO HOLSTER is a memoir of how she discovered the warrior inside as she survived an abusive relationship and thrived in the aftermath. 

Her faith inspired film is set to start production in January 2025 in Naples, Florida and will feature actor Dean Cain and will be the first film being produced by the newly formed Naples, FL – JCFilms Production Club.
