On Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 6PM, Dean Cain will attend and introduce his new faith-based police drama, DISPATCHED at Bridgeport United Methodist Church. Before the event, Cain will host a reception for all local law enforcement officers and their spouses at the church.
JCFilms, a faith and family friendly production company that has produced almost a dozen Dean Cain feature films in Harrison County over the past two years. In September 2019, JCFilms partnered with local law enforcement to shoot the film DISPATCHED, starring the former ‘Superman’ actor.
This event is not only being celebrated as a Red-Carpet Movie Night for the community but also as a Harrison County Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.
“We are so grateful for such a wonderful community to make these types of inspirational movies, we wanted to show our appreciation,” stated Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms.
DISPATCHED is based on a true story and a book titled the same, about a Windsor, Connecticut Police Officer named Carl Thomas. Thomas was revered by his colleagues for his fearlessness at going after the bad guys, but Thomas had a dark side. In DISPATCHED, you will see how God changed the heart of a street hardened cop into an ambassador of God's love, and ultimately how an entire community was changed.
Showtime is at 6:00PM on Sunday, April 19th when Dean Cain will introduce the film. This is a free event. The film is 90 minutes long and though the film has not been rated; event organizers are requesting no children under the age of five.
