CHOSEN to Premiere November 13th to Celebrate National Adoption Month

Writer: Jason CampbellJason Campbell

In celebration of raising awareness on adoption during the month of November, JCFILMs will premiere their most recent film CHOSEN. The dynamic Christin duo from God’s Not Dead, Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo, as well as the talented, Ohio native, Eddie McClintock, stars in this multi-plot movie that highlights the beauty of adoption and foster parenting, but it also shows the many challenges adoptive and foster parents endure. It is a depiction on how communities and people of faith come together to help and support these many challenges.

Beyond making an entertaining film, our goal is to leave a lasting effect on the lives of those involved in adoption and foster parenting in Ohio and around the world. "We don't just want to make a film. We want to make a film that will change and benefit the lives of children," Says Jason Campbell, President of JCFILMS. “This is more than just a film; it is a movement to empower people of faith to get involved.”

Thus, we are creating a non-profit organization called Ohio Helping Hands to follow the blueprints echoed in the film to help people find ways to support foster and adoptive families. Because on any given day in Ohio, nearly 16,000 children are being cared for in foster care. This number is expected to increase as the number of foster parents are decreasing. The world premiere of CHOSEN will be held Saturday November 13, 2021 at Crossroads Church Ontario campus in Mansfield, Ohio at 6:30PM. A VIP reception will be held 5-6PM prior to the premiere.

An additional screening of CHOSEN is scheduled for November 28th 6:30PM at Simpson Creek Baptist Church in Bridgeport, West Virginia. During both showings, foster and adoption agencies as well as Helping Hands organization will be on ‘hand’ to assist in providing additional resources to get involved with foster care and adoption.
